Film and Video Work

A moving image can awaken our vision and change the way we see. They take us to other places while opening doors and minds to other worlds. In my work I create manipulated realities through dreamlike imagery and quick cut editing while incorporating contradictions.

Between Then and Now (2025)

"Between Then & Now" is a home video series that traces the echoes of migration through family archives and memory. Centered on old footage from Albania, the series unfolds through intimate conversations with my cousins as we watch, reflect, and piece together these captured moments. Shown through the editing software Adobe Premiere Pro, the process itself becomes part of the narrative—revealing not just the memories within the footage, but also how we reconstruct and reinterpret them through editing.

Rooted in my thesis research, this project explores the in-between spaces of identity, migration, and generational memory. Through collective reflection and digital reassembly, it questions how we carry the past with us, what is lost or altered in translation, and how home exists not just as a place, but as a shifting resonance within us.

Unearthing Chelsea Piers (2023)

Chelsea Piers, a previous fishing site, has become an attraction of excessive wealth, recurring development, and great intrigue. In 2100, a collective of researchers, community members, and local organizations interested in the history of the river's various fishing sites came to an unexpected series of questions related to the drastic development of the area.

The films we created follow a linear narrative structure including a rather large time gap to explore the changes in how the Hudson river has been used by humans in recent times. The first film is a faux documentary made several decades ago and has since been corrupted by that time, leaving only fragments of what it once was. The second film takes place much closer to the present, illustrating part of the spectrum of how the people of New York relate to and interact with the river in their everyday lives. The third film takes place in the present day with those who are immediately invested in and reliant on the river for their livelihoods.

Wholesome Merch AD (2022)

While working in film and video making, I also ventured in producing commercial work during my internship with WholesomeZine. I created content videos to help promote their merchandise and as such created this advertisement that coincided with their art vision and funky music theme.

Conversations with My (Sub)Conscious (2021)

A video piece of multiple conversations between myself (in the conscious state) and myself (in the subconscious state). Both are the opposite of each other (the conscious being reserved and self conscious, while the subconscious is outgoing and confident) but make up the same person. Within the conversation, through overlapped audio and montage of visuals, the conscious state has a revelation between itself and its subconscious.

Stuck (2021)

When the world now seems to be in a limbo, we must create a new rhythm in order to free ourselves. "Stuck" is a video piece without sound showcasing the feeling of being stuck through visuals. Each clip is an indication to the feeling of being stuck and caught within a loop until a new clip interrupts it. Soon all of the clips create a new rhythm as the tempo changes creating a never-ending loop as the viewer questions when it will stop.

Oasis (2021)

A short climate fiction film, told through photographs, on the impending consequences of the climate crisis where sea levels rise faster, extreme heat is on the horizon, and extreme weather cause displacement of people from their homes into more dense areas while the fortunate have the privilege to live in the underwater city of Liberty Oasis.

In this story we follow two characters. Skylar, a citizen of USAL (United States of AmericaLand) and Atlanta, a citizen of Liberty Oasis. As each character live their somewhat normal lives, they start to question their way of living and are on the hunt to find the truth of their climate induced future.

All That We Know Is What We See (2020)

A video piece that includes a small collection of the writing I have done during the pandemic. I realized in most of my writing that I tend to write about questioning, memory, nostalgia, and dreams that may or may not connect with one another. In the end, the viewer/reader will have an experience while they watch, listen and read to what is written and ask the question: is all that we know what we see?

Replenish (2020)

A short (unfinished) documentary examining how nature could replenish itself without intervention, but in order for that to happen humans must give the breathing room to allow it.

Post Human Reproduction (2019)

A video piece showcasing the future of production in a post human world as technology takes over and is constantly reproducing in an endless loop. Through this project I used the program Styly to create a digital world in which I imagine what the post human future could look like.

Hocus Pocus Focus (2019)

A video piece exploring the understanding of what being in focus is and how it may connect to memory. As images blur and sounds do not match, the focus is perplexed by the various visuals and sounds that bleed into one’s memories.
